Hope Medical Group for Women provides facilities for qualified physicians, nurses, lab technicians, and counselors. We are a licensed Louisiana clinic and inspected annually by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. Hope Medical Group is a member in good standing of the National Abortion Federation, the professional abortion organization, and has been providing quality care to families in the Ark-La-Tex since 1980. The reception rooms, counseling offices, and waiting rooms for friends and family are designed for comfort and relaxation. The labs and treatment rooms have been furnished with the newest, most modern equipment available.

The state of Louisiana requires that women sit in person, individually with a physician and review state mandated material at least 24 hours before a termination occurs. This appointment can occur several days or weeks before the procedure and allows women to see exactly how far along they are as an ultrasound exam is provided at Hope. This “state required doctor session” is provided six days a week at Hope Medical Group at different times in an attempt to make this requirement as easy as possible for families. This first visit costs $50, takes about one hour and includes talking with a doctor and receiving an ultrasound to determine your exact length of pregnancy. Financial assistance is available and when you come in for this first state required visit we can determine if you are eligible for funding anywhere from fifty to seventy five percent of the cost of the abortion based on your income and family size. It is good to come in as early as possible for this first state required visit and it does not obligate you to terminate the pregnancy. Remember, if you are late, be early!

Termination services at Hope now are offered earlier than ever before. There is no need to wait. Hope Medical Group begins early surgical termination as early as three weeks from the first day of the last menstrual period in a procedure that takes less than five minutes and feels like a hard, fast period. Medication, including nitrous oxide (relaxation gas) is provided so a driver is required on the day you have a surgical procedure. Women are often surprised at how quick and simple the procedure is! When women leave the clinic they will feel like they are having a normal period and pregnancy symptoms begin to lessen almost immediately. Most women return to work and school the next day.
